Judicium and Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs – Batch 3, Year 2024

On Thursday, September 19, 2024, the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science at Mulawarman University held a Judicium ceremony in the Kerapu Room. The event was officially opened by the Chairman of the Academic Senate, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Helminuddin, M.M., who delivered an enthusiastic opening address.

The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hj. Elly Purnamasari, S.Pi., M.Si., continued the session by announcing that in this Judicium of Batch 3, Class of 82, Year 2024, a total of 72 students successfully graduated, including 12 graduates from the Aquaculture Study Program.

The Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science at Mulawarman University, Dr. Ir. Komsanah Sukarti, M.P., then delivered an inspiring speech. She reflected on the students’ academic journey—from their first day on campus to the proud moment of earning their degrees. The experiences, memories, and knowledge gained throughout their studies have become a source of pride for all lecturers in the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science.

The Dean also highlighted the outstanding achievements of seven students who graduated with cum laude honors. One of them was Rini Hastuti (Student ID: 2006016005) from the Aquaculture Study Program. Rini successfully completed her undergraduate thesis titled “The Potential of Pineapple Peel Flour (Ananas comosus) in Controlling Aeromonas hydrophila Infection in Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)”, under the supervision of Dr. Agustina, S.Pi., M.Si., and Dr. Ir. Henny Pagoray, M.Si. She completed her studies in 3 years and 9 months, graduating with a GPA of 3.82 and earning cum laude distinction.

Dr. Ir. Komsanah Sukarti, M.P. also expressed her gratitude to the academic advisors, thesis supervisors, and study program coordinators for their invaluable contributions in guiding the students toward this achievement.

In closing, she reminded the graduates of the opportunity to pursue further education at the Master’s Program in Fisheries Science, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Mulawarman University. This Judicium ceremony served as a meaningful milestone, marking a new beginning for the graduates—one filled with hope and opportunities for a brighter future.
