Community Engagement of the Aquaculture Study Program in Suko Mulyo Village, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency

On October 19, 2023, Suko Mulyo Village, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency (PPU), hosted a significant community engagement event by the Aquaculture Study Program. With the theme “Fish Cultivation in Tarpaulin Ponds,” the event was attended by enthusiastic local residents eager to learn the latest techniques in fish farming.

During the event, lecturers from the Aquaculture Study Program shared a variety of knowledge and skills regarding fish cultivation using tarpaulin ponds. This innovative method aims to boost harvest yields and efficiency in fish farming. Participants received in-depth explanations on how to construct, manage, and maintain tarpaulin ponds, as well as the potential advantages and challenges involved.

To conclude the event, the Head of Suko Mulyo Village invited all participants to visit the State Capital (IKN). This visit aimed to provide broader insights into the development and progress of IKN, which is expected to bring positive impacts to local communities, including in the aquaculture sector. This event is part of ongoing efforts to empower the community and advance the aquaculture sector in the region.
