
The Aquaculture Study Program held a Curriculum Workshop on July 13, 2023, at the Midtown Hotel, Samarinda. The workshop aimed to review and update the curriculum to ensure its relevance for current implementation.

The Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Dr. Ir. Komsanah Sukarti, M.P., warmly welcomed the Aquaculture Study Program’s workshop. In her address, she stated that the workshop helps design a curriculum that produces skilled and globally competitive graduates.

The Coordinator of the Aquaculture Study Program, Dr. Andi Nikhlani, S.Pi., M.P., stated that the curriculum to be developed will produce intelligent, resilient, and relevant graduates who meet contemporary needs, are inspired by the cultural wisdom of the East Kalimantan community, and are ready to become future leaders with a strong spirit of nationalism and patriotism.
The workshop was moderated by Dr. Adi Susanto, S.Pi., M.Si., and featured four speakers:
- Dr. Ir. Siti Aslamyah, M.P., representing academics from Hasanuddin University;
- Muslik, S.Pi., M.Si., representing the Marine and Fisheries Office of Kutai Kartanegara Regency;
- Irma Listiawati, S.Pi., M.P., representing the Marine and Fisheries Office of East Kalimantan Province;
- Nur Rinni Rahman, S.Pi., as the Owner of CV. Rama Jaya Mahakam, representing the alumni.
The presence of speakers from various sectors provided valuable input regarding the courses and competencies required today. The outcomes of this workshop will serve as important considerations for the future development of the Aquaculture Study Program’s curriculum.
