The Aquaculture Study Program hosted an online Public Lecture via Zoom on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. The lecture, themed “Seaweed Industry Ecosystem: From Farm to Fork,” featured Dr. Maya Puspita as the speaker, representing the industry sector.

The public lecture began with an opening address by Dr. Ir. Komsanah Sukarti, M.P., Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science. In her speech, she explained that this event aims to provide the latest information about seaweed from an industry perspective.

Acting as moderator, Dr. Adi Susanto, S.Pi., M.Si., guided the public lecture, which was attended by 54 participants including lecturers, educational staff, and students. In her presentation, speaker Dr. Maya Puspita explained that the concept of successful industrial seaweed cultivation involves increasing productivity, identifying opportunities, understanding applicable policies, adapting to technological developments, and continuously innovating.
